It is highly unlikely that you will get away with a visit to Warsaw without realising that this was the birthplace of composer Frédéric Chopin. If you stay at the Chopin Boutique B&B – we’d say that would be nigh on impossible. This lovely boutique has the feel of a historic music salon – and comes complete with regular evening piano recitals on the Steinway Grand in the lounge downstairs.
Whilst this probably isn't the place for you if you’re after big-hotel style mod-cons, there is charm and character in abundance here – with beautifully restored antiques and interesting artworks aplenty. What’s more, the owner, Jarek, is an excellent (and extremely knowledgeable) host. A great value and friendly choice for your stay in Warsaw.
A delicious breakfast is served each morning around a communal table. There is no restaurant on site but plenty of great options nearby that Jarek will happily point you in the direction of.
The 28 rooms are simple but very comfortable, with lovely wooden floors, warm colours and eclectic furnishings.
The hotel organises and hosts intimate recital concerts most evenings in the lounge (extra charge applies). Whether it’s a student or trained professional playing while you’re there, this is an experience not to be missed.
The hotel is located on a quiet side street in the Sródmiescie district, close to the Jewish Ghetto Memorial, Frederic Chopin Museum and Nowy Świat Street (one of the city’s main historic throughfares). The Old Town with attractions such as the Royal Castle and St John’s cathedral are a 20-minute walk from the hotel and Jarek and his lovely staff can assist with organising tours.
