Situated in an enviable scenic spot that is perched at an altitude of 2551 metres, Le Refuge de Solaise is 80 metres higher than the rest of the village of Val d'lsère. As the hotel is sited in a premier ski-in ski-out location, access is via cable car. The retreat boasts a magnificent natural landscape of snow and ice that provides the perfect conditions for skiing. At night, a midnight blue sparkling starry sky covers the pristine snow-capped village like a comforting blanket. As the highest hotel in the Alps, Le Refuge de Solaise offers guests a unique experience and perspective. The hotel’s 21 rooms comprise of accommodation in classic, superior, family rooms and suites, a dormitory, and a selection of apartments. On-site there is a bar, two restaurants, a Spa with a swimming pool, conference/seminar facilities, and a ski shop. There is also a child-friendly area.
Le Refuge de Solaise features two on-site restaurants that offer traditional French and continental cuisine alongside stunning views.
La Tête de Solaise is an inviting spacious and modern environment, with alpine wood-panelled walls and floor to ceiling windows. As you peruse the menu, you can expect to be distracted by the spectacular vistas of the village, mountains, lake and dam.
Alternatively, you can dine on Italian inspired pizzas and pasta dishes in the hotel’s second restaurant. The Refuge bar is an idyllic and cosy place to spot for a high altitude aperitif or a nightcap by the open fireplace. Skiers can also enjoy an early morning breakfast or a shared lunchtime cheese and charcuterie platter in the bar that boasts stunning views across the snow-capped mountains of the valley.
Dinner is served à la carte style in the restaurant, but can also be ordered via room service on request.
Accommodation at Le Refuge de Solaise is provided in flexible configurations and cosy atmospheres. The 21 guest rooms are divided into 4 categories - classic, superior, family rooms and suites. There is also a dormitory and 4 spacious
apartments that comfortably accommodate 4 to 18 guests. The dormitory comprises of 14 single/double beds in an open space that is shared with other travellers. The largest penthouse apartment sleeps 18 and boasts its own living and dining areas, and breathtaking 360° views of the majestic French Alps. The guest rooms and public areas of the property are furnished in a modern alpine style that proudly embraces its rich traditional heritage.
Le Refuge de Solaise occupies a prime spot in one of France’s most enchanting and captivating natural landscapes. The 2551m altitude provides the ideal environment for relaxation and recreation. The Solaise Express Ski Lift is situated just 200 yards from the hotel entrance and offers direct chairlift access to the popular ski resort of Tignes/ Val-d'lsère. After an active day on the slopes, hotel guests can enjoy pampering body treatments at the on-site Spa, as well as the use of the swimming pool, sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday: from 9am until 4:30pm and 5:15pm depending on the season
Wednesday and Saturday: : from 9am until 4:30pm and 5:15pm depending on the season AND 7pm until 11pm
From 30th November until 31st January, the last way up at 4:30pm
From 1st February until 13th March at 5:00pm
From 14th March until 3rd May at 5:15pm
