The 57 light-filled rooms at Le Grand Bellevue include turreted tower rooms, alpine suites, rustic hideaways and split level rooms all featuring soft fluffy bathrobes and a complimentary minibar. Introduction

Gstaad is a veritable winter wonderland in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps. The town is surrounded by hundreds of kilometres of all-level ski slopes, pistes and cross-country trails and is a favourite destination amongst royalty and celebrities. Like many ski resorts, it's a town of two holiday seasons  - Winter from 14th December to the end of March and Summer from 21st June to the 6th October.

Luxury hotel Le Grand Bellevue is child-friendly, pet-friendly and with ski-fitting and hire on-site, there's very little left to worry about before you head to the slopes. We think it's the best luxury ski hotel in Gstaad. There's a dedicated playroom, cinema, swimming times for your little ones and a fabulous gym and spa where you can indulge in herbal-scented massages and relax in the many steam rooms. If you're not a skier there are still plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy including igloo building, air boarding, or perhaps you might enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride under the stars. You can also enjoy the slopes on a bobsleigh or snowcat.

At Le Grand Bellevue après ski has never been so good with a fantastic choice of restaurants and bars and Le Grand Spa which covers 3000 square metres.

    Activities
Families love coming to Gstaad and more specifically to Le Grand Bellevue. The dedicated playroom, family hours in the pool and Polar Bear Kids Club make it one of the most family-friendly ski hotels in the area.

Whilst the children are busy why not make the most of it and unwind in Le Grand Spa. Covering 3000 square metres this stunning sanctuary has so much to choose from you could easily spend a whole day here. The Herbal Sauna will help you unwind, you can stargaze in the outdoor relaxation pool or head to the Thermal Oasis and choose between 17 different wellness areas.

Head to the slopes for a day of skiing or if you enjoy something a little more daring book in some heliskiing, air boarding, or high altitude mountaineering.

The more experienced skiers can book in some high altitude mountaineering, or venture to Glacier 3000 and cross the suspension bridge that runs between two mountain peaks (not for the faint-hearted). In the summer months, you can play a game of tennis on the Swiss Open court, take a chauffeur-driven tour in a vintage Bentley, hike the slopes or book in a hot-air-ballooning flight for a drone's view of the town.

There are plenty of activities for children aged 5-15 to choose from, from skiing, snowboarding and ice skating lessons during the winter months to language courses and cooking classes. There's also a petting zoo within easy reach of the hotel, ideal for young animal lovers.

For adults, we love the scone making course, available all Winter long. Join the Patissier to learn the art of the perfect scone and then head to The Lounge where you'll have to make the tricky decision of whether to put the cream or jam on first!
    Dining

If you're a foodie you'll love the choice of restaurants at Le Grand Bellevue; there is something for everyone including handcrafted sushi, exquisite Afternoon Tea and herb crusted lamb. Leonard's is a Michelin star restaurant where Marcus G. Lindner puts a modern twist and a touch of Alpine flavours on international dishes and you can sample Chef Robert Speth's exceptional 'cuisine pure' at Chesery.

Looking for something a little more casual? Then head to the art deco bar for an après ski hot chocolate and warm yourself in front of the fire in the lounge. Fondue enthusiasts should head to Le Petit Chalet which is actually a rustic mountain lodge. As well as Leonard's the bar is open to residents 7 days a week and has an all-day menu of bistro classics and favourites including homemade pasta, club sandwiches and award-winning burgers. The zinc-topped bar and long Chesterfield sofa is the perfect spot to start the evening with a glass of bubbly.

Each restaurant has a children's menu and highchairs. The chefs will create signature dishes to suit the fussiest of eater with all day menus and baby menus available for the youngsters.
