Nestled on Oia’s cliffside on the island of Santorini, this boutique hotel is the idyllic place to escape the stresses of urban life. Comprising of 26 private suites, the seaside gem is all tranquility and peace - and that’s before you dip into one of the lovely pools.
Blending classic Greek white-on-white style with antique furnishings and contemporary pieces, the hotel has aced the design front - it shouldn’t work, but it miraculously does. Perhaps best of all is its prime positioning for watching the island’s famed caldera sunset - a serenity-seeker’s paradise.
It’s worth noting that this is an adult-only property and is therefore unsuitable for those 13 years of age or under.
Food and drink are taken very seriously at Kirini, so when it comes to meal times, you’re in for a treat. The fine dining Anthὸs Restaurant serves exceptional Mediterranean fare, made using local produce where possible, and some truly remarkable wines. Alternatively, head to the Poolside Lounge & Cocktail Bar for a range of Santorini specialities and delicious tipples.
A great breakfast is served in the mornings and is included in most room rates (see rate detail below).
There are 26 suites to choose from at Kirini, which have been decorated in line with the rest of the hotel. The largely white colour palette is set off nicely by wooden floors, antique furnishings and designer light fittings. Some suites even have their own balcony or terrace, while others offer sensational views out over the island’s famous Caldera. For an extra dose of luxe, some rooms even come with their own plunge pools or hot tubs.
Get your pamper-fix at the hotel’s A.Spa, where you can book in for a relaxing massage or treatment. There’s also a Jacuzzi to sink into, not to mention a steam room, sauna and indoor pool. For something more active, there are fitness facilities for guests to make use of.
Prefer to stay in the great outdoors? Lounge in the sun with a book, dipping into the outdoor pool to cool off.
Alternatively, explore the sugarcube buildings and winding streets of Oia, with its many churches, intriguing Naval museum and rugged Byzantine Castle Ruins.
