Why so chic?
Why travel experts chose this hotelChic Treats
Only when you book with ChicIf you’re looking for a bang-on-centre spot for your stay in Rome, you’ve come to the right place. With the Colosseum near enough its neighbour and most of the city’s famous sites within walking distance, exploring Rome’s historic centre couldn’t be easier from this understated Chic Retreat.
More laidback B&B than bonafide boutique hotel, Retrome’s low-key ambience is the perfect hub in which to relax in after a day’s exploring. True to its name (and Barcelona-based sister property) the style here is retro chic – with a 60s / 70s feel and plenty of quirky features.
It's worth noting that reception is only manned for a few hours in the morning and afternoon, so you will need to liaise with the hotel on your arrival time ahead of your stay. Please note that there is no lift, so this hotel is not suited for those less mobile.
Dining
While there is no restaurant on site, there is a lounge area where you can enjoy coffees as you plan your day’s adventure. You’ll be spoilt for choice in the surrounding area too, with a trove of family-run eateries and gourmet hole-in-the-walls.

Activities
Set in Rome’s Celio district, you couldn’t be better placed to explore the sights, with the Colosseum only a 5-minute walk away, and the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain both a 30-minute walk away.
Celio itself is also a vibrant spot with a local feel despite it’s proximity to touristy spots nearby. If you want to head further afield, both Labicano and Colloseo metro stations are a 5-minute walk from the hotel. It is worth noting that reception isn’t manned 24-hours a day, but the staff are incredibly friendly and are more than happy to share their recommendations with you.Wifi information
