Stylish and slick, Rey Apartments is a 14-room self-catering boutique hotel in the heart of Reykjavik. City-explorers, foodies and art-fiends alike will find much to intrigue here, with plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés and galleries on your doorstep.
The staff who run Rey are particularly friendly and are happy to help with working out the best places to eat, drink and visit in and around town. It's worth noting that there is no lift here, so it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.
There are no restaurant facilities at Rey, but most rooms have kitchen or kitchenette facilities and there are numerous restaurants and cafés in the surrounding area.
There are 14 apartments here ranging from the smallest (Studios) to the largest which have three bedrooms and can sleep eight (though preferably just six if you want a bit more space). Most apartments have their own well-equipped kitchen, sitting room area and bathroom, and are decked out with bright, fresh décor and modern furnishings.
If you fancy putting those legs through their paces, bicycles can be hired close by. No need to worry if you’d rather stick to exploring on-foot; Rey Apartments is located in Reykjavik between the shopping district, Laugavegur, and the trendy Skolavordustigur area, so you’re close to all the galleries, restaurants and shops.
