Only when you book with Chic
Lying in the shadows of Prague Castle, The Golden Wheel is a rather romantic boutique hotel. Housed in a refurbished 14th-century baroque building, you’ll be hard pushed to find a more authentic place to stay in the city.
It’s not just the building itself that makes this Chic Retreat so appealing: the staff are absolutely charming and will bend over backwards to help you make the most of your visit. There is also a eye-catching collection of unusual sculptures dotted around the hotel, courtesy of celebrated Italian artist, Paolo Piazza.
A tasty continental breakfast is served in the cafe downstairs, Cafe Arcadia, each morning. There is no restaurant on site but there are a trove of family-run eateries and local digs in the surrounding area, and the staff have plenty of recommendations for the best picks of the lot.
The 17 rooms come in all different shapes and sizes but all are comfortable and tastefully decorated with big beds, wooden floors and well-preserved period features. If you fancy a treat, the Panoramic Suite comes with its very own terrace overlooking the castle. There are also Triple Room options available – perfect if you're travelling with the little one.
Sightseers are well-placed to explore at The Golden Wheel, with Prague Castle and Charles Bridge just a short walk away. The Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square are also within easy walking distance, just 20-minutes away. For a deeper insight into the city, the hotel can assist with arranging local tours.
