The team produces fresher wines with more mineral characteristics than are usually found in the common Alentejo wines. They launched the first harvest in 2012, bottling a limited series of 1350 bottles. In 2013, the Couto Saramago and Couto Saramago Seleção reds were produced, and 2016 marked the launch of whites and rosés.
This little gem is 15 minutes' drive from Flor da Rosa Convent, Praca do Municipio, and Crato Castle. Portalegre Cathedral and Castle are less than half an hour away.
