Only when you book with Chic
Just minutes from the handsome Piperi beach and the vibrant town of Naoussa is Kanale’s Rooms and Suites boutique hotel. Blending in seamlessly with the surrounding traditional whitewashed houses that are synonymous with the Greek islands, this retreat is all about simple chic, decorated in classic coastal white and blue. Featuring in its centre is an unusual yet striking freshwater pool with a pretty stone footbridge above, inviting you in for a one-of-a-kind stay.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served up at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Piperatto, offering breathtaking views over the town, beaches and ocean. Breakfast is a rich Greek buffet of cooked eggs and meats, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, traditional breakfast cakes and pies as well as many juices and strong coffee.
Lunch and dinner menus are a blend of European influences as well as traditional Greek dishes. The town of Naoussa plays host to many diverse eateries and bars that buzz through the day until night.
The rooftop lounge bar is idyllic on a balmy evening for imbibing some exclusive cocktails created at the hotel, or sampling local wines.
Made up of 34 guest rooms, Kanale’s design is simple and fresh. Traditional, minimalist whitewash rooms keep cool in the Parian heat, and are arranged around the pool area with its feature bridge. Some rooms have balconies that look out over the ocean.
The maisonette suite is ideal for families, sleeping up to 5 guests, and the grand penthouse suite has a whirlpool hot tub in an open space in the bedroom and balcony with views over the impressive scenery. The luxurious bathrooms come with fluffy bathrobes and top of the range toiletries.
The cool freshwater pool and whirlpool tub might be fairly petite, but just a couple of minutes walk away is the little cove of Piperi beach where you can dip your toes in the glimmering Aegean and look all the way across the water to neighbouring Mykonos. Naoussa harbourfront is a 15-minute amble away and the beaches of Kolimbithres and Santa Maria are just 10-minutes away by car.
The port town of Paroika is a 15-minute drive away, and well worth a stop in to see landmarks, a hit of retail therapy or to sample local cuisine at a taverna. Car hire is recommended to experience the best of Paros, and the knowledgeable concierge staff at Kanale’s will be happy to share their favourite spots to visit on the island such as the Moraitis Winery (2 km) and the Panayia Cathedral (11 km).
