Paros Island’s capital, Parikia, with its maze of pretty, winding streets and plethora of great tavernas offers a true Greek experience. Right in its heart you'll find Argonauta Hotel.
Family-run, the vibe here is warm, friendly and relaxed with 16 sweet and simple rooms set around a lovely shaded courtyard. The décor is simple yet elegant, with plenty of crisp white walls, pastel-painted wooden furniture and cool stone floors. If you’re here as a stop-off on an island-hopping adventure, you’re well placed for the port which is just a few minutes’ walk away.
A good breakfast is served and is included with most rooms rates (check detail below). Or, for the late risers amongst you, why not meander downstairs for a late brunch? But if you fancy heading out in the morning, there's a great bakery across the road that sells everything from Greek bread and pastries to freshly-squeezed juice.
Set around the hotel’s inner courtyard, the 16 rooms are simple yet stylish. Though rooms can come up quite cosy, most come with balconies and there are Triple options available offering an extra single bed – perfect if you’re travelling with a little one.
Argonauta is nice and close to many of the vibrant capital's cultural hotspots, only 5-minutes' walk from Panagia Ekatontapilian (the church of the 100 doors). It's also surrounded by some of the best design and accessory shops in town – the perfect place for a bit of Mediterranean shopping.
