A brand new boutique hotel built at the edge of a traditional settlement, Seven Suites blends beautifully into its natural environment. Crafted from local stone and shaped into the whitewash cubes that are synonymous with the Cycladic islands, this romantic getaway has a spectacular outlook from its elevated position in the island’s rugged interior, with views down over fertile farmland to Naxos town and the ocean. The aptly named Seven Suites is compact yet quirky, with rooms arranged over different levels giving guests uninterrupted views of the surrounding scenery.
The rich Naxian breakfast buffet consists of homemade products and local delicacies including customary Greek pastries and pies, cheeses, yogurt, honey, eggs and fruits.
While there is no evening restaurant, the pool bar serves up a creative menu of cocktails and local wines paired with tasty snacks throughout the day, but is made particularly enjoyable in the evening with distinctive lighting around the pool.
The town of Naxos is just 15-minute drive away, and plays host to numerous traditional Greek tavernas and other cuisines as well as countless bars and nightlife options.
The 7 suites are stylishly minimalist and unique from one another. All have top quality contemporary furnishings and spacious bathrooms.
The Elegant Suite is suitable either for two couples or couples with children, and both bedrooms in the suite have terraces. The most premium Seven Suite includes a terrace and two balconies with sea views.
Cool off in the swimming pool and take in the elevated view with a cocktail and hand and the strains of lounge music coming from the pool bar. The popular beaches of Plaka (7 km), Anna (10.5 km) and Prokopios (11.5 km) are only 15-20 minutes away by car, the latter being voted as one of Europe’s top ten beaches is a must-visit.
The island of Naxos is steeped in history and mythology, with ancient monuments, artefacts and ruins dotted about the island. Famed for their wine and olive oil production in the hillside villages that have barely changed for centuries, Naxian communities also accompany their festivities with a tart and tangy citrus liqueur which is a must-try.
The best way to see the island is by car, information on which can be provided by the helpful hotel staff. The hills and mountains have many walking and cycling trails that take in countless beauty spots.
