Riad Dar One

Set on the outskirts of the medina in the old Jewish quarter, Riad Dar One is a great base from which to explore the best of Marrakech.

There is an elegant blend of old and new here, with the six lovely rooms set around the internal courtyard and lined in smooth cool traditional tadelakt (a type of plaster) whilst also boasting more modern design elements with quirky light features and sleek leather upholstery.

The WiFi can be a little patchy away from common areas but there is a level of luxury here that belies the price point; with the gorgeous smell of essential oils hanging in the air and staff that can’t do more to look after you, you’ll be left feeling relaxed and pampered in no time.

A generous breakfast is served and is included in most room rates (check detail below).

The riad can serve light lunches and delicious 3-course dinners but you will need book in advance.

Each of the six rooms has been individually designed. Prices here are very reasonable and, if available, we’d recommend splashing out on the Sirocco Suite, which is set up on a level with the roof terrace and offers its own little patio area with a shaded day bed and killer views.

There is a roof terrace with comfy shaded day beds. Cooking classes and horse riding can be arranged through the hotel and massages are available upon request.

Set on the outskirts of the medina, a few steps away from the Bahia palace, Jemaa el-Fna is a 15-minute walk away and the lovely staff can assist with arranging any tours you might like to take.
