Fellah Hotel is unlike any other luxury hotel in Marrakech. Driven by a passion for sharing Morocco's rich heritage through a contemporary vision the hotel, surrounded by 27 acres, is very much connected to its sense of place. Each booking contributes towards Dar al-Ma'mun, a UNESCO art centre and library that provides education and activities for the inhabitants of the local village.
Aside from this, Fellah Hotel is a cool place to be for all of the family; impeccable service, great food, fantastic Yoga and a working farm complete with chickens, goats and donkeys team up to make a unique and authentic holiday experience.
Inside, outside, in the shade or in the sun, there are plenty of dining options at Fellah Hotel. All day snacks and drinks are served by the large pool and the Fellah restaurant serves Moroccan and Mediterranean food using locally produced organic products as well as fruit and vegetables from the working farm. The restaurant is air-conditioned providing a cool retreat from the heat of the midday sun, or you may prefer to head to the shade of the olive trees with a picnic.
The TOUCO cafe by the pool is an authentic local street food experience as it is run by the residents of the nearby Tassoultante village who have the chance to promote their regions flavours and tastiest dishes. Sunset cocktails are served both at the outdoor bar and in the indoor lounge.
The rooms vary in size and in style; some have traditional Berber patterns, some are contemporary and white, others are bright and beautiful with works of art and furniture from some of Moroccos most famous artists and designers. Bathrooms are elegantly tiled and equipped with spacious bathtubs or showers.
Be as active or as lazy as you like at Fellah! Lounge beside the chic swimming pool with an ice-cold cocktail from the hotel bar, or work up a sweat in the hotel’s fully equipped gym or at a Thai Boxing lesson. Afterwards, treat yourself to a pampering massage in the hotel’s wellness spa; an hour of Wat Po (Thailand's oldest traditional massage) will set you straight, or if you prefer something a little more gentle opt for a cleansing steam bath or hammam followed by a traditional massage.
Fellah is perfect for those travelling as families. The on-site art centre and library have put together some suggested activities for kids including grooming the donkeys, helping in the garden and learning about nature and art, painting and drawing from the artists in residence. Young children will love the African storytelling about magical stories from the continent.
Of course a stay here wouldn't be complete without a trip into Marrakech where you can explore the souks and wander around the Majorelle gardens. Day trips to Essaouira and the Atlas Mountains can be arranged during your stay at Fellah.
