Set in a beautiful old building just off the square, Quaint Hotel is tucked away behind the parish church in the pretty town of Nadur.
This is a simple spot with just a few small restaurants and bars around but, if you’re looking to chill and experience authentic, Gozitan village life then you’re onto a winner.
It’s worth noting that reception is not manned 24/7 so you will need to arrange your check-in time ahead of arrival.
The Fat Rabbit serves a selection of grills, pasta and pizza, and, unsurprisingly, the traditional dish of rabbit, served in a variety of ways.
Alternatively, D’Victoria Wine and Dine focuses on authentic local and Mediterranean cuisine, while the newly opened Del Capo Pizzeria offers made-to-order pizza.
There are just 12 rooms here, with a variety of sizes and specs available but all are spacious, modern and immaculately clean boasting big comfy beds and powerful showers.
Room rates are very reasonable year-round and if you can stretch, we’d recommend going all out and booking one of the Superior Suites to be in with a chance of bagging yourself a lovely sunny terrace with stunning views over the countryside and/or out to the sea.
In busier months, there is a 2-night minimum stay.
Set up on a hill, Nadur offers stunning views out over the countryside to the sea. There are plenty of lovely beaches just a short drive away, including San Blas Bay, Ramla Bay and Daħlet Qorrot and all can be reached by public transport or a bit of a walk if you fancy some exercise.
