The converted old houses of boutique hotel and finca Cases de Son Barbassa are situated around the Llevant Natural Park in Mallorca, Spain. This modern and rural agroturismo has an authentic and historical charm, with a tower that dates back to the 16th-century.
The pretty Finca and boutique hotel offers beautiful coast and countryside views, and you can stroll through the almond, carob and olive trees. Indoors, the original kitchen and ancient tower have been converted into cosy spots for guests to relax.
This Chic Retreat is perfectly located, with just a few kilometres from the medieval village of Capdepera, and 5 minutes from the centre of Cala Ratjada.
Cases de Son Barbassa is perfect located for golfers, surrounded by some of the best golf courses on the island. There are plenty of activities nearby to try your hand at, including sailing, horse riding, cycling and tennis.
For some exploring, the beautiful sandy beaches and little coastal resort towns of Cala Mesquida and Cala Ratjada are well worth a visit. Taste local foods and enjoy a glass of wine as you soak up the beautiful views and charming atmosphere.
At the hotel, children can splash around in the pool, while adults may prefer a soak in the outdoor hot tub with views over the olive groves. Wander through the vineyards and cherry trees and pick the low hanging fruit during the fruit season.
If you fancy some pampering, head to the spa, which has plenty of treatments on offer. Unwind in the sauna, or relax in the whirlpool bath.
Breakfast at Cases de Son Barbassa is a delicious spread, served on the terrace, or in the restaurant. Immerse yourself in the smell of lavender and roses, as you tuck into the delicious food on offer. Expect local hams, cheeses, fruits, yogurts, freshly-squeeze orange juice, and daily specialities.
The restaurant is on the terrace, with glass walls allowing guests to enjoy the pretty views. Only fresh ingredients are used, coming either from the gardens at Cases de Son Barbassa or the local market. The mediterranean menu is imaginative and full of flavour, and we highly recommend trying the olive oil, which is made on site.
On Thursday evenings, there is a BBQ and tapas night, served with delcious Majorcan wines.
