The Crescent Victoria is a delightful hotel housed in two renovated townhouses on the UK’s quintessentially British south coast. The hotel is a relative newcomer to the throng but joins a growing number of charming new spots that have started to spring up since the arrival of the Turner Contemporary Gallery back in 2011.
The hotel restaurant is excellent, and its bar is a rather good spot for an afternoon tipple. What's more, the service at the Crescent Victoria unfailingly friendly. A great choice.
The Theatre View Restaurant offers a great breakfast that’s included in most room rates (check detail below). It also serves a variety of modern British dishes for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. There is also a bar with a walled terrace, ideal for those warmer months.
The 14 bedrooms offer a modern and stylish décor, with patterned wallpapers, rich fabrics and designer furniture all set within a muted colour scheme. Half of the rooms have wonderful views out over the sea and are definitely worth the extra money – particularly if you’re planning on staying here for more than a couple of nights. The double rooms at the back are smaller and don’t get the view – but all have comfortable beds, great showers and White Company toiletries.
The hotel is well placed to explore, just 5-minutes' walk from the stunning Turner Contemporary Gallery and Margate Old Town.
