    Why so chic?

Why travel experts chose this hotel

    Chic Treats

Only when you book with Chic

Experience a slice of authentic Greek island life with a stay at the Hotel Museum George Molfetas. This charming boutique – run by Katerina and her daughter Maria – is named as such for the wonderous array of antique manuscripts, poems, postcards, and other rarities passed down their family for generations.

At only 5 rooms, the hotel’s small size plays a large part in its familial feel, but truth be told it’s Katerina and Maria that really make this house a home. You will feel like family in no time, with big, warm welcomes and delicious home-cooked cuisine. Beautiful plants and flowers grow around the courtyard, offering welcome shade from the sun and a lovely aroma when in bloom. It's no surprise that guests have a tendency to return.

    Dining

The hotel's Possada Restaurant serves some delicious homemade Greek dishes for both breakfast (included with most room rates, check detail below) and dinner.

    Accommodation

    Activities

Unwind with a soak in the hot tub, or treat yourself to a pampering massage which are available on request. If you're feeling adventurous, horse-riding tours are a great way to explore the countryside, try your hand at diving or cook up a storm with a cookery class – all of these can be arranged on request and run from May to October.

Hotel Museum George Molfetas is located up a narrow lane in the sleepy little village of Farakláta – one of Kefalonia’s most ancient and unspoilt. With a car there is plenty to explore further afield, including the island's capital Argostoli (around 15-minutes' drive away), the wonderful beaches of Makris Gialos (around 20-minutes' drive) and Myrtos Beach (around 30-minutes' drive).
