Why so chic?
Why travel experts chose this hotel
Only when you book with Chic
As with its sister property, Capitano, Hotel Casa del Mare – Mediterraneo offers a simple, chic and decidedly comfortable spot for your stay in Kamenari. All that’s different is you’re even closer to the beach and with most rooms boasting balconies and killer sea views – you’ll feel yourself unwinding in no time.
Family-run and with only eight rooms, there’s an unfailing warm and friendly vibe to the place and the lovely staff couldn’t be more attentive, brimming with recommendations for things to do and see. Kamenari itself is rather a low-key village but with the ferry terminal just a short walk away, Hotel del Mare – Mediteranneo is a great spot from which to explore Kotor Bay.
It’s worth noting that the road that runs in front of the hotel can be a little noisy, but once you’ve nabbed your hammock beside the sea and ordered your first cocktail we shouldn’t think you’ll notice very much.
A fantastic breakfast is served in the mornings, and is included in most room rates (see detail below). Restaurant Del Mare serves up some great Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on seafood, while Beach Bar Porto Mare offers more informal dining right on the seafront throughout the day.
The décor is crisp and contemporary with soft, muted colours and big comfy beds. Though bathrooms can come up a little small, the bathrobes and slippers are a lovely touch. Despite only having eight rooms, there are a range of room types available with most boasting sea views and the Studio and Suite options offering extra beds – perfect if you’re travelling in a group or with a little one.
There is a private area of beach that is shared only with the nearby sister hotel, offering sun loungers and parasols. There is also a lovely massage area on the beach, but please note that these services are only available in the summer months.
