• Rooms

Each of the 16 rooms are individually designed, and whilst some come up a little on the small side, their eclectic artworks and kooky design more than make up for this. However, if you’re planning on staying for more than a few days we’d suggest upgrading for a little extra space. Bathrooms are modern and come with good showers and rather nice smellies.

  • Overview

Located in the trendy suburb of Bandra, Le Sutra – also known as The Indian Art Hotel – is a colourful and quirky choice for your stay in Mumbai. A lot of work has gone into this lonvingly decorated Chic Retreat; 120 painters, 40 sculptors and 15 designers have left their mark on its vibrant interior to create a stylish and eclectic hotel, with an abundance of art and artefacts adorning the walls.

Set across three floors, with each taking a different 'Guna' as its theme (tendencies and attributes used to describe things in Indian philosophy), there are 16 beautifully designed rooms here, each with its own design. The staff are also fantastic, and the restaurant is said to be popular with several big Bollywood names.

The Angdai Spa offers a range of relaxing and rejuvinating massage and beauty treatments – but it’s worth mentioning that these must be booked prior to your arrival. True to the hotel’s vibrant design, there’s also a wonderful art gallery on site.

Le Sutra is located in Bandra, close to Juhu Beach and Bandstand Promenade. Bandra is a leafy suburb that offers a nice bit of respite from the inner-city mayhem, which is about a 30-minute drive away.

A good breakfast is included in most room rates (check detail below), and the hotel plays host to not one, but two restaurants. Out of the Blue serves delicious Indian cuisine whilst Olive Bar serves Mediterranean dishes for lunch and dinner. The hotel even has its own cute little patisserie, Mag St Bread Co.
