Vintage Vert is a small boutique hotel housed in a lovingly restored 18th-century manor house in the heart of Gascony, south west France. Set in the midst of the unspoilt countryside, the hotel offers beautiful rural views with a breathtaking backdrop of the Hautes Pyranees.
The pastel decor is rich in French charm, complementing the atmosphere evoked by the surrounding vineyards. This relaxing rural retreat provides peace and quiet, in addition to exquistive food and wine.
The saltwater swimming pool is ideal for dipping into, as you soak up the summer sun. The hotel also offers secure bike storage if you fancy a ride across the stunning countryside.
The countryside surrounding Vintage Vert is dotted with lovely bastide villages including Bassoues, Trie sur Baise, Tournay and Saint Sever de Rustan. All are excellent places to visit for coffee or lunch.
The nearby Gers region is famous for its fine Armagnac, fine food and rich wines. We recommend tasting the Floc de Gascogne, an aperitif dating back to the 16th-century made with fresh grape juice and young Armagnac.
As Vintage Vert borders the open fields of surrounding farms, children must be closely supervised by their parents or guardians, and any unconfident swimmers must be supervised when in or near the saltwater swimming pool.
In addition to traditional continental breakfast Vintage Vert also offer delicious evening meals at their Table d'Hôte. Meals are served in the courtyard terrace during the summer months, while during the cooler period you can enjoy your food aside the wood burning stove in the lounge.
The menu consists of a fusion of French and European cuisine. Choose from dishes such as roasted duck breast, or summer berry pavlova.
Note that the restaurant is not open every evening, and it is recommended that you book 24-hours in advance. On evenings when the restaurant is closed, Vintage Vert offers a board of local produce, including fruit, ham, cheeses, freshly baked bread and chutneys.
