Tzampoc Resort is a small boutique hotel in Panajachel situated 150 kilometres from Guatemala City. This little gem is located in Santa Catarina Palopo overlooking the beautiful Lake Atitlán. Tzampoc has 3 different-sized villas, within a park, and a choice of B&B rooms. Children are accepted although this Chic Retreat is more suitable for couples.
Lights, colours, perfumes and magical green waters set the scene of this undiscovered world. Set amidst flowers and exotic trees home to butterflies and hummingbirds Tzampoc is a charming hideaway.
The organic orchard provides seasonal fruits and vegetables which you'll enjoy at breakfast.
Tzampoc has 3 different sized villas, in a park, with a wonderful view of the lake. You can also stay on a Bed & Breakfast basis with the choice of two types of rooms. All of the bathrooms have showers only.
Other services such as laundry, a cook and chauffeur can be organised. There's also a helipad nearby.
The jewel of Tzampoc is its magnificent swimming pool, built on the mountain's slope, giving you the feeling of floating on the lake. Two Mayan heads stone sculptures serve as fountains. In the evening the pool becomes a comfortable chill-out area, with a fully-equipped bar decorated with volcanic stones, where you can enjoy a cocktail, listen to music or simply relax.
The Tzampoc Resort Spa is has a Jacuzzi overlooking the lake, a sauna and a solarium. A wide variety of massages are offered by using different products, ranging from exotic oils to volcano extracts.
Lake Atitlán is surrounded by green hills and is known for its Mayan villages and stunning volcanoes with pointed cones. The busy town of Panajachel is where local vendors sell traditional textiles. On a former coffee plantation, the Atitlán nature reserve offers trails and a butterfly sanctuary.The combination of three volcanoes and a massive body of water at 1600m above sea level is a powerful setting. All over the hotel, there are different spots where you can sit and read, in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by tropical vegetation. With the help of experienced professionals, you can try your hand at the art of archery, in the hotel's own archery range.
Tzampoc also offers all different kinds of cultural trips all around Guatemala. Tzam Poc is 10 minutes from the Atitlan Butterfly Sanctuary and a 50-minute drive to Guatemala City. A beach shuttle service is available at an additional charge.
