The 4 rooms and suites at Vintage Vert have been styled with love and passion by owner Christine, who has sourced some wonderful vintage furniture and restored many of the pieces herself. All of the bedrooms are individually styled and each tells a story, from the peacock-blue chaise lounge in Emerald to the beds in Lime, upholstered with flour sacks from a local mill. Crisp cotton bed linen, plump pillows, fresh flowers, local Ballot-Flurin products, and Evian water are just some of the small touches that make a stay at Vintage Vert so special.

Set in the midst of the unspoiled countryside, the property has beautiful views with a breathtaking backdrop of the Hautes Pyrenees.
Owners Christine and Anthony have put their heart and soul into this wonderful getaway. The pastel interiors, designed by Christine, are rich in French charm and complement the atmosphere evoked by the surrounding vineyards. We love the cobbled courtyard, the perfect place to sit out among the lavender and the gentle buzzing of bees. This relaxing rural escape provides peace and quiet, in addition to exquisite home-cooked food and local wine.
Host Story
‘We love what we do and we really want everyone to enjoy their time here. We endeavour to offer something special to our guest, a haven, somewhere to relax that is a little out of the ordinary. Guests return time and time again as for them this is home from home, and we never forget to have their favourite things ready for their return. This is life in the slow lane where you take time to smell the wild garlic and marvel at nature whilst enjoying a glass of local wine.’
- Christine Crowder and Anthony Collins, Owners

Begin your day with a fabulous continental spread, including freshly baked bread, brioche and sweet treats, as well as homemade yoghurt, jams and compotes, made with fruit from the hotel’s own garden. A particular treat is the traditional breakfast cake, one of Christine’s specialities.
Vintage Vert offer delicious evening meals at their table d'hôte at the super-reasonable price of €28 per person. Dinner is served in the courtyard terrace during the summer months, while during the cooler period you can enjoy your food next to the wood-burning stove in the lounge. Cooked by Christine and Anthony, the menu consists of fusion French and European cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the hotel’s own vegetable garden or nearby producers. Choose from dishes such as caramelised onion and goats cheese tartlet, roasted duck breast, or summer berry pavlova – all served with excellent local wine.
It’s worth noting that the restaurant is not open every night, and it's recommended you book 24 hours in advance. But even when Christine and Anthony aren't cooking, they sometimes provide a board of artisanal produce, including fromage, charcuterie, and chutney.

Activities
Take a dip in the saltwater swimming pool, before soaking up the summer sun on one of the loungers or relaxing on the spacious terrace. The hotel also offers secure bike storage if you fancy a ride across the rolling Gascon countryside. Dotted with pretty bastide villages including Trie
sur Baise, Tournay, Saint Sever de Rustan, and Bassoues, there are a host of picturesque places to visit for a wander, a coffee, or a bite to eat.The nearby Gers region is famous for its Armagnac, fine food and wine, and makes for an interesting day trip. We recommend tasting Floc de Gascogne, an aperitif with its roots in the 16th-century made from fresh grape juice and young brandy. And a glass or two of local vinos Pacherenc, Madiran, and Saint-Mont should be sampled too.
Keen golfers will be pleased to hear that the hotel is within 50 kilometres of five courses, the closest being in Tillac at a rather wonderful chateau setting.
Back at Vintage Vert, because it borders the open fields of surrounding farms, children must be closely watched over by their parents or guardians, and unconfident swimmers must be supervised when in or near the pool.
