Overview

Hotel Regency is a luxury 32 room boutique hotel within a beautifully restored Florentine villa. Like its sister hotel, Hotel Byron in Rome, Hotel Regency has a long list of repeat customers who return again and again for the excellent personal service and luxurious surroundings. Overlooking the Piazza d'Azelio and with its charming secret garden this gem commands one of the best positions in Florence offering 5 star service in a very private villa filled with history and original features.

Activities

Shop until you drop and eat and drink until the sun sets! If you are a culture vulture then Florence is the place to come. There are so many sights and sounds to soak up and enjoy during your stay that at least 3 nights is needed if it is your first stay to Florence.  Not to be missed are the Pitti Palace, the Uffizi Gallery and the Duomo and Baptistry of Florence which command a central position in their own square - Michelangelo called these two the Gates of Paradise! Visit Vivoli for some of the best ice cream (the rice flavour is to die for), stroll down Via Roma and take a peek into the famous shop Luisa via Roma, before enjoying a coffee at the world famous Caffe Gilli. Hotel Regency can arrange wine tastings, hot air ballooning, private guided tours, visits to local vineyards and trips to other lovely Tuscan towns. If you like antiques then try and visit Arezzo as it has a monthly antique market as well as some other great little boutiques and restaurants.

Dining

Relais Le Jardin Restaurant is open all year round to hotel guests and anyone else who would like to try Chef Rino Pennucci's sensational Tuscan dishes. Seasonal ingredients are sourced daily from the best local markets including black and white truffles, Florentine prime rib and porcini mushrooms. During the winter months you can dine in the Zodiaco Room with its grand mirrors and flickering candle light whilst the Veranda has windows overlooking the private Regency garden which is a very romantic spot to dine during the warmer months.  Breakfast at Hotel Regency is a feast with homemade Italian pastries and bread straight from the oven. Jams, natural cereals, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices are served alongside fragrant Italian coffees and eggs freshly prepared.
