Only when you book with Chic
Situated in Edinburgh’s New Town, Eden Locke’s Georgian exterior belies a strikingly modern décor within. Perhaps it’s the pastel colour scheme or maybe it’s the quirky light fittings and abundance of potted plants; whatever it is, this design hotel exudes trendiness - and that’s before you even enter the rooms.
The hotel lounge bar, Hyde & Son, serves some excellent coffee, teas and tipples. For food, most rooms come with their own kitchenette or else sample the many gourmet hot spots and local eateries nearby.
The serviced suites, while a little on the small side, are incredibly comfortable, featuring good beds with modern headboards, stylish light fittings and plush sofas. Most rooms also come with a fully serviced kitchenette - perfect if you’re looking to self-cater. Bathrooms are sleek and come with luxe toiletries. Rooms at the front of the building come with large bay windows, so are a great option if you’re big on natural light.
You won’t be short of things to do at Eden Locke. Events are held regularly at the hotel, including cooking courses, acoustic sessions and our personal favourite - cocktail masterclasses. Yoga-bunnies and fitness-fiends are also well-catered for, with trainers available for one-on-one sessions, and regular yoga, meditation and running classes held at the hotel.
After all that activity, book in for one of the in-room spa or beauty treatments available. Locke even has its own range of body care, so you’ll leave truly pampered.
The hotel is well-placed for sightseeing, just a short walk from the shop-bedecked Prince’s Street and within easy reach of the cathedral and castle.
