A tapestry of seductive reds, bewitching golds and deep blues, the Provacateur is a boutique hotel sizzling with flamboyant charm. Inspired by 1920s Paris, the décor is all ritz and glitz; from the soft-as-cloud velvets to the sparkling chandeliers above.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar have made quite a name for themselves too, popular with locals and guests alike. Staff are lovely and will be more than happy to advise on the best places to see in Berlin.
In keeping with the rest of the hotel, the restaurant and bar are decorated in a rather sexy style, with plenty of reds, blues and even floating candles at bar. The food is excellent - the Golden Phoenix restaurant dishes up a range of Chinese-inspired dishes. For an aperitif or evening tipple, head to the bar for an original cocktail (or two!).
The 59 rooms are beautifully done, with deep colours, velvet touches and, in some cases, glittering chandeliers. Bathrooms are modern, often with black fittings, and come with luxe toiletries.
A short walk from the shop-packed Ku’damm, you’re in a rather buzzing part of the city here. Bars, restaurants and cafés are dotted around the area in abundance, so foodies and nocturnal party-goers will find paradise on their doorstep.
Further afield but no less inviting, the Berlin Zoo, Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie are easily accessible by public transport, so you won’t miss out on the city’s key sights here either.
