Why so chic?
Why travel experts chose this hotel
Only when you book with Chic
Set in a 19th-century building, this apartment hotel has been restored to reflect its former grandeur. With a cool grey, black and white colour palette, not to mention ornate mirrors and elegant light fittings aplenty, Palacina strives to recreate a sense of old-world Berlin - a feat it achieves rather splendidly.
Staff are lovely but not intruding - it really feels like your own apartment. The Chic Retreat is situated in Schöneberg neighbourhood: a buzzing spot filled with shops, bars and restaurants.
There is no restaurant at the hotel, but the serviced apartments do come with cooking facilities so you can self-cater if you wish. Alternatively there are plenty of great eateries, cafés and bars nearby.
There are 16 serviced apartments at Palacina, which have all been designed with much attention to detail. Décor is elegant and refined, with crisp beds, monotone colours and intricate mirrors or frames. Most come with kitchen facilities should you wish to self cater.
You’re in a great location for exploring; not only are their plenty of boutiques and the whopper of a department store, KaDeWe, nearby, but you’re also a tram ride (or walk if you’re feeling sprightly) away from Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag building.
