Looking out over the picturesque village of Padola from its perch 1,250 metres above sea level in the heart of the Italian Dolomites, Hotel Spa La Torre is a beautifully chic mountain getaway. The design is stylishly contemporary, so expect sharp angles and wide windows giving gorgeous views over the surrounding mountains and valleys. Whether visiting during the summer or winter season, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, from skiing to mountain-biking, and after a day spent adventuring through the surrounding hills, the hotel’s wellness spa is perfect for a pampering treat. Switch off the phone and leave your alarm-clock at home: Hotel Spa La Torre is the place to kick-back and relax amidst peace and tranquility.
The hotel serves a breakfast buffet in the hall, on the terrace during the summer months, or even in the privacy of your room if you so desire. Feast on freshly-baked bread, homemade cakes, fruit, yoghurt and local charcuterie.
The hotel’s restaurant serves traditional dishes with a modern twist, complemented by an extensive international wine list.
Each of the rooms have a contemporary design with gorgeous views over the surrounding countryside. En-suite bathrooms feature baths or showers. Many rooms have private terraces or balconies, while some are interconnecting, making them perfect for families.
Drink in the views from the hotel’s comfortable lounge, or during the summer months bask on one of the comfortable loungers on Hotel Spa La Torre’s solarium. Treat yourself to a session at the hotel’s spa, which features a sauna and steam room, as well as a range of massages and beauty treatments. The nearby town of Padola has a picturesque town centre with some charming boutique shops.
During the summer, enjoy bracing hikes through the lush mountain valleys. There are many mountain-biking routes; a particular favourite starts in Padola and reaches Kreuzbergpass, from where you can see the remains of First World War trenches and galleries, when the region saw fierce fighting between Italian and Austro-Hungarian forces.
During the winter there are a number of ski slopes close-by, with the hotel situated right next to some of the cross-country trails. Just 100 metres from the hotel is Val Comelico, part of the Dolomiti Superski.
