Situated close to Puglia's Gargano National Park, 10 room boutique hotel La Chiusa delle More is surrounded by ancient olive groves. This restored 16th-century palazzo is just 500m from the Mediterranean sea and just 10 minutes from the village of Peschici. Owners Antonella and Francesco Martucci offer guests a very warm welcome and the farm is well known for its delicious food and abundant breakfast which includes fresh ricotta and local honey, lemon and chocolate tarts, fresh croissants and local delicacies.
Guests at this charming Chic Retreat have free use of mountain-bikes to explore the National Park. The swimming pool is open from May through to October and there is a sunbathing and garden area for relaxation. As with most Italian beaches you pay to use the beach and you can hire beds and umbrellas for the day. Why not join Antonella in the kitchen for a cooking course? Learn to make Apulian pasta and pizza, traditional bread and other local delicacies using ingredients from the farm's garden.
Puglia is known for its fantastic climate and during the warmer months the verandah restaurant at La Chiusa delle More, with its romantic candlelit tables, is the ideal spot to enjoy the authentic dishes in the evening. The restaurant is not open for lunch.
