With its luxe and elegant Kelly Hoppen-designed interiors, super central location and attentive staff - Hotel Murmuri is a great pick for your stay in Barcelona.
Set in the heart of the vibrant Eixample, you’ve got the best of the city on your doorstep and the hotel’s rooftop terrace is an inviting spot to retreat to at the end of a hard day’s exploring.
Service here is warm and personal and the charming staff have plenty of great local recommendations to keep you busy throughout your stay.
The hotel plays host to two restaurants - both offering menus featuring plenty of Mediterranean and Catalan fare. ElPassatge del Murmuri serves delicious tapas along with a good value Menú del día in a vibrant and stylish setting. Petit Comitè meanwhile is a more high end affair. With Michelin-starred chef and ambassador of Catalan cuisine, Nandu Jubany, at the helm you can expect local classics served with a fresh, modern twist.
The Bar Marfil by Murmuri beckons for a drink at any time of the day with an extensive cocktail menu and a selection of tapa available to enjoy in a cosy and convivial space.
Whilst rooms can come up a little compact at this central spot, the design is well thought through and the décor classically pleasing with plenty of honey-hued tones and slick modern bathrooms with rather smart Omnisens toiletries. It’s worth noting that the Apartment options are more simple in style and are set in separate buildings a short walk from the hotel.
Whilst the amenities here are a little light, guests of the hotel can enjoy access to the fitness area and rooftop pool at nearby sister properties Majestic Hotel & Spa and MidMost Hotel which are a 5-minute and 15-minute walk from Murmuri respectively.
Otherwise, the hotel is well-placed to explore with Gaudi’s Casa Milà and the plethora of shops on Passeig de Gracia just a couple of minutes’ walk away. The up and coming Gràcia neighbourhood is a 25-minute walk away and well worth a wander or the more obvious La Rambla is the same distance due south.
