Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi is a small luxury hotel that has been in the same family for many generations. Sitting on a hill along the valley of the River Tronto, it is only a few miles from the town of Ascoli Piceno, Le Marche. The main house was once a medieval fortress which was converted in a country house in the 18th-century whilst the Residenza San Pancrazio date back to the 17th-century. This beautiful and historical chic retreat is surrounded by beautiful gardens and parkland planted by the renowned botanist and landscape gardener Ludwig Winter.
The Piceno area, like the rest of Le Marche is rich in historic theatres. All of them are beautifull restored and hold concerts, performances and operas throughout the year. Ascoli Piceno, which dates back to the 6th century BC is just 10 minutes away by car and is full of cultural treasures including the Cathedral with the splendid polyptych by Carlo Crivelli and the Piazza del Popolo with the Church of Saint Francesco, the Capitani Palace and the old Meletti Café. Between June and September the coast, just 25 minutes away, is a must for a day trip or two and there are some lovely beach restaurants serving freshly caught fish. Enjoy the views from the pool which enjoys a fresh sea breeze from the Adriatic coast and at the end of the day treat yourself to a pampering massage in the wellness room or enjoy a sauna after a day out.
Whilst there is no official restaurant here the Borgo offers delicious dishes on request using local and season products.
