Bariloche sits on the shores of a beautiful Patagonian lake, just a drive from the ski slopes and some beautiful hikes. It’s worth picking a place that has a decent view, and the Design Suites provide just that, but be sure that you request a room with one of the better vistas, some just provide a snippet.
This is a good value option for taking in the town – you’re a little further out but still only a 20-minute walk / shuttle ride to the centre. It's worth noting that rooms are set over a number of buildings and can mean a bit of a walk, so this property is not suited to those less mobile.
Breakfast is included in most room rates (see detail below). There is a restaurant and bar that really makes the most of the views.
The 78 bedrooms are simple and contemporary in design. We'd recommend upgrading to the Junior or Deluxe Suite and requesting a lake view, to really make the most of the setting (subject to availability). It's worth noting that the walls are quite thin, so we'd recommend packing ear plugs if you're a light sleeper to avoid being disturbed by your neighbours.
There are both indoor and outdoor pools – heated of course. If that doesn't warm you up enough, there's also a sauna and a small gym on site. Massage and spa treatments can be arranged upon request.
The hotel is set on the edge of Nahuel Huapi Lake, a short drive from the centre of Bariloche. Staff are friendly and able to help out with good suggestions for tours and activities.
