Villa Sassolini is a charming 14th-century Villa positioned in the heart of Tuscany, at the border of the Arno Valley and the hills of Chianti, in the ancient hamlet of Moncioni. Villa Sassolini has been entirely renovated maintaining the original structure and combines modern comforts with refined hospitality. The staff ensure that you feel totally at home from your arrival to your departure and will fulfil your every wish during your stay.
Villa Sassolini is the ideal base from which to explore the Chianti hills and local Tuscan towns. The Villa is a few minutes from the A1 motorway between Siena and Arezzo and is probably the nearest boutique hotel to the famous shopping outlets! The pool is in a beautiful position over looking the surrounding hills and a herb garden full of lavender and rosemary surrounds the seating area. Outside space is limited so those guests wanting to walk around the property in the evening will be disappointed, however there is now a lovely pool bar which is open between May and October. From October onwards drinks and cocktails are served in the lounge from 11am.
The restaurant provides a varied menu of dishes using the freshest local ingredients. The Dinner Menu is accompanied by a top level wine cellar with the selection of wine from throughout Italy. Guests have the choice of dining inside or outside on the terrace surrounded by the Herb Garden and the Chianti hills beyond. Room service is only available for breakfast.
