We believe that Il Borro is the ideal Tuscan escape, whether you're a couple seeking a romantic break with room service, or a family looking for the freedom that a self-catering villa provides.
Il Borro comprises a 700-year old estate near the picturesque town of Arezzo. The estate's hamlet has been completely restored in traditional style by the Ferragamo family to provide an authentic, luxury Tuscan experience amongst stunning scenery. Not only that, it is also home to an award-winning winery that has produced the iconic Chianti Classico for several centuries, and a world-class restaurant that foodies flock to from all over the world.
Guests can choose from a range of beautiful suites in the hamlet's houses and villa, or enjoy the run one of one of the outlying farmhouses. Whatever your choice, this Chic Retreat has more than enough to captivate and enchant you again and again.
Please note: Pets are permitted by prior arrangement - please contact the hotel directly. Due to the size of the estate, and its location, we recommend hiring a car to make the most of your stay.

Where do we begin? Il Borro has an amazing range of experiences on offer to guests.
Upon arrival, you might wish to enjoy the delights of the spa, found at the heart of the estate. State-of-the-art facilities combined with a holistic approach to wellbeing, fitness, nutrition and beauty make this spa one of the best in the Tuscan countryside. Kabebo, Pevonia and Mesoetetic products are employed to refresh, revitalise and rejuvenate you by a team of caring, expert practitioners.
Looking out from the resort's infinity pool (which the kids will love to spend hours splashing in), much of the beautiful estate is visible, with horseriding, mountain biking and walking trails wending their way across the countryside. There's a gym for fitness fanatics and personal trainers can be organized to take you through your routine. Come in autumn and winter and you'll be able to hunt truffles across the estate, with a delicious lunch to keep you going.
Speaking of food, Il Borro is all about life's most delicious joys. Wine tastings, cooking classes and winery tours are available - what better reminder of your time here than tastes you can recreate at home, paired with a bottle of ll Borro wine.
Kids aren't left out at Il Borro. There are tennis and golf lessons, in addition to horse riding and more, depending on the season. Whatever time of year you visit, kids will be entranced by the attention paid to them by the team.
Further afield, there's plenty to do. Florence is a day trip, and is full of wonderful museums, cultural sites, shops and bars. Arezzo, one of Tuscany's finest small cities, is even closer, with a monthly antique fair (first Sunday of the month) and some lovely boutiques. Of course, one of the great pleasures of Tuscany is just driving around from village to village, exploring hamlets and sample the delicious food and wine of the region!
