Manoir Laurette is a charming 19th-century house located in the beautiful hamlet of Lorette on the border of Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne, France’s main wine region. This exquisite Chic Retreat has just 3 boutique hotel rooms which are overflowing with quirkiness, character and faded glamour. The perfectly positioned pool and tennis court make this exceptional hideaway the perfect mid-week or weekend break. Extra beds can be added to the rooms but we feel this romantic escape would be appreciated more by couples.

Surrounded by vineyards and fields filled with sunflowers, this Chic Retreat is just 45 minutes from St Emilion and an hour from Bordeaux.

Surrounded by Italian Cypress trees and fragrant lavender beds, the pool is in an idyllic position. The tennis court is floodlit and if you've forgotten your racket don't worry there's free racket hire here. The butterfly meadow is a beautiful spot for a picnic or you might prefer to jump on one of the retro bikes and head into one of the fields or one of the interweaving waterways of the canal du midi. You’re right in the middle of France's main wine-tasting region, the steepled church in Lorette is a few minute's walk away and you can dine on champagne and oysters in trendy Cap Ferret.

The picturesque bastide towns of Monségur and Duras are just minutes away as are hidden treasures of brocantes, medieval villages, markets and cafés. We recommend you hire a car so you can explore the region - St Emilion is only 45 minutes away and Bordeaux just an hour.

During the summer months, a full à la carte breakfast is served in the folk art dining room and in the winter by the open fireplace. Passionate about food, the team at the Manoir ensure that wherever possible the ingredients are homegrown, locally sourced and made by their own hens. They serve the award-winning Joe's Tea and their fragrant coffee is blended locally in small batches. The butter pastries are fresh every morning and are complemented by the local jams and honey, making them simply irresistible. The crunchy homemade granola is the perfect match for the local, creamy yoghurts.

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, pancakes with crispy bacon are just some of the choices on the menu but you'll find it difficult to choose because everything here is mouthwateringly good.

Discover the wines of South West France or enjoy a curated selection of cheese & charcuterie served in the dining room. Grab a bottle of artisan gin for your holiday – you're spoilt for choice as they have over 25 different labels to choose from in the mini gin emporium
