Baraka Point Estate is a luxury villa estate (sleeping 14-16) on the beautiful beaches of Virgin Gorda one of the British Virgin Islands. This exclusive villa estate is only rented to one group at any time and with 8 dedicated staff, this 12,000 sq ft villa offers something for everyone, perfect for groups of friends, families or weddings. With beautiful secluded beaches where guests can watch the famous sunsets from the outdoor lounge, a private boat for water sports and sea excursions, a spa for pampering, and a wealth of fun activities to keep both kids and grown-ups entertained, guests will never be bored. The main pavilion has an open-plan living space where guests can congregate out on the coral stone terraces overlooking the infinity pool, although a quiet spot is easy to find for those who wish to simply relax with a book. With 6 pavilions and more room in the Games Pavilion if needed, this luxury haven sleeps up to 16 guests, so everyone can enjoy their own private space.

Baraka Point Estate ensures they stay in harmony with island life, with 2 acres of beautiful gardens full of fruit trees, palms & tropical plants, and depending on the seasonal produce, the fruits of the estate can often be enjoyed in smoothies and spa treatments. They also make compost from kitchen waste to feed the gardens, use re-fillable bottles for bath products and because the Aromatherapy Associates products use 75% plant-based materials, water waste is used on the gardens too. They know that it is their responsibility to help maintain the environment of this beautiful island. Accommodation

Baraka Point Estate has 5 individually-decorated guest pavilions and extra rooms in the Games Pavilion - great for teens to share. There are 3 master suites at 900 sq ft, each with views of the ocean and a luxurious design with bold colours and beautiful dark-wood furniture. The Kerala Master Suite has the luxurious addition of a private plunge pool with a sun terrace and a gorgeous hand-crafted teak four-poster bed. Many of the suites also have their own sitting areas and all have a private deck while the Mandarin suite also features a roof terrace. The 2 family suites have king-size beds in the central sleeping area with 2 adjoining twin rooms so parents and kids have their own space while sharing a pavilion. The en-suite bathrooms, decorated with Italian mosaic glass tiles, have large walk-in showers and 2 of the suites have outdoor showers. The Mandarin suite has an additional Japanese-style bathtub. The Games Pavilion can also accommodate a king-size bed or 2 twins and has an en-suite bathroom, and as it also houses the billiards table and home movie theatre, teens will certainly enjoy staying in this suite. All rooms have 400-thread count Italian linens, flat screen TVs with DVD players, iPod docking stations, stereos, mini-bars, ceiling fans, air-conditioning and Aromatherapy Associates bath products.

Activities

This chic retreat really caters for everyone and it is hard to think what they could have missed in terms of facilities - as for modern amenities, they have it all. The spacious lounges & living rooms have indoor & outdoor SONOS music systems, the brand new Games Pavilion has a Home Movie Theatre & DVD collection and a billiards table and there is high speed WiFi access throughout the property. Work out in the Sea View Gym, where personal training can be provided at an additional cost, or relax out by the infinity pool. A short walk down through the tropical gardens brings you to a private beach complete with sun loungers. Take some 'me time' at the Spa & Wellness Pavilion which offers Aromatherapy Associates spa treatments, and make the most of the tranquil environment with a yoga or Pilates class.

This island retreat is great for adventurous types, with a private ski boat available for water sports including water-skiing, wakeboarding, chair surfing, "donuting" & tubing, and a 25-foot luxury rigid-inflatable boat on which guests can be taken on a snorkel trip or make excursions around the islands. The stunning house reef is great for snorkelling and a welcome beach barbeque by a bonfire pit with tiki torches can be arranged after a day out at sea. Sea kayaks are available for coastal explorations and for those who wish to stay firmly on shore, explore inland with the 4 x 4 beach buggy, play a game of tennis nearby or sit back on the lounge pads with a cool cocktail from the wet bar.

Dining

Guests can enjoy meals prepared by their own private chef and can even watch their food being prepared by the expert chefs from the indoor dining room and pick up a few tips along the way. Alternatively enjoy dinner out under the stars on the terrace. From tasting menus to tapas platters, there is something for every occasion and the chefs prepare food to order so you're sure to enjoy - although of course you may just wish them to devise a menu for you. They create a wonderful fusion of international and regional food, all beautifully presented, such as a starter of carpaccio of Ahi Tuna with deep fried basil and capers on crostini, a main of West Indian fusion style pork tenderloin served on a bed of mixed rice with Baraka Point pineapple salsa and for dessert, Baraka Point's famous flambeed Rum cake with Goslings glaze. Be sure to arrange a pizza night as this boutique villa has its own Italian woodburning oven and accompany the delicious meals with a wine from the Baraka Point cellar.

Rates

Rates at Baraka Point Estate are for exclusive use of the entire estate per week and include all amenities regardless of the size of the group. Baraka Point do not rent to more than one group at a time. The 7% government tax and 15% service charge is not included. The property is only ever rented to one group at a time. Up to 16 guests can be accommodated in total with a maximum of 12 adults, plus 2-3 infants in baby cots which are free of charge. A minimum stay of 7 nights applies. Rates include transfers from Virgin Gorda airport or dock to the estate and a welcome cocktail reception. Food is priced per meal and are not included in the rates. Water sports, off-estate activities, use of the 4x4 SUVs and other classes can be taken at an extra charge. 50% of the weekly rental rate plus 7% tax & 15% service charge is required to confirm the booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. There is a minimum stay of 10 nights over Christmas and New Year at a rate of USD 95000 for 10 nights regardless of group size. There is a minimum stay of 7 nights over easter at USD 39000 for 7 nights regardless of group size. Thanksgiving week is charged at USD 29000 regardless of group size.

Cancellation policy

For cancellations made 61 or more days prior to arrival, 20% of the weekly rental rate will be forgeited. For cancellations made 45-60 days prior to arrival, 50% of the weekly rental rate will be forfeited. For cancellations made less than 45 days prior to arrival, 100% of the total weekly rental rate will be forfeited.

Additional Info: Private boat charters can be arranged by Baraka Point from St Thomas, USVI to Virgin Gorda. Water Taxis are also available. The North Sound Express Ferry travels from Beef Island and Tortola airport dock to Virgin Gorda. Private charter flights from San Juan / St Thomas, Antigua & St Martin can fly direct to Virgin Gorda and private jet charters from San Juan and Puerto Rico to Beef Island / Tortola.
