A stay in the Kikadini Villas is a truly magical experience. With "The Arabian Nights" in mind, each of the 5 individually styled villas have been designed to incorporate the arabic architecture that has influenced the East African island of Zanzibar. Built over 5 years, the last of these luxury villas was completed this year. Each of the Kikadini villas overlook the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. For those who want to take a safari tour, Kikadini Villas have links with the fabulous Eco & Culture Tours company who also offer sightseeing tours and car rentals.
Accommodation
Kikadini Villas has 10 private suites within the 5 villas, so guests can choose to rent either the whole villa or a suite within. The villas range in size from 150-450 sqm and have their own garden & roof-top terraces and central patios.The buildings are grand in design with luxurious arabian-influenced furnishings, which fit nicely with the natural beauty of the coast. Villas can accomodate between 2-6 guests so they are perfect for a romantic getaway or trip with family & friends. With a full butler service, residents can really sit back and soak up the atmosphere. Some private suites have open-air bathtubs.
Activities
Right on the ocean, the guests of the Kikadini Villas can go diving, snorkling, sailing and kite surfing. There are 2 PADI dive centres and trips can be organised to swim with dolphins. With an array of fish in the rich waters of the Indian Ocean, from tuna and barracuda to blue marlin, deep sea fishing can be an exciting activity, and the chef is on hand to cook up the day's catch. The Kikadini Villas can arrange tours with the Eco & Culture Tours company who offer safaris, sightseeing tours and car rentals. Guests can also enjoy use of the villas' swimming pool.
Dining
In the private villas, all meals are served by butler service in the villa, although if guests choose they can dine in the restaurants. Guests of the private suites dine in the villas' restaurants, where fresh seafood is on the menu. There is a roof-top lunch restaurant which has spectacular views of Zanzibar and a lovely evening restaurant. Afternoon tea, juices and cocktails are served in the lounge, which is atmospherically lit with lanterns in the evening, and shishas can be smoked after dinner.
Rates
Rates at Kikadini Villas are per person per night and include house drinks. Kikadini Villas is currently undergoing renovations and reservations are on hold before the grand re-opening. Details to follow.
