About this Chic Retreat

Kasha Boutique Hotel is located on a cliff overlooking a lagoon in Matemwe, North East Zanzibar.  Famous for its 15km sandy beach Matemwe is an idyllic holiday location for those looking to escape and relax and an ideal honeymoon hotel. Kasha has 11 gorgeous villas which sleep up to 4 people, each with their own private outdoor sitting area and plunge pool.  During low tide the beach is directly accessible by steps with the ocean waves lapping against the coral reef.

Accommodation

The 11 villas at this romantic chic retreat are light, spacious and airy.  Decorated in cool, calm colours the villas are very serene and very private. All of the villas have sea views, their own deck and plunge pool and each feature a king-size bed, mosquito net, flat screen TV and DVD player.  The en-suite bathrooms have a bath and a shower and they also have wonderful sea views. 

Activities

The large infinity pool at Kasha Boutique Hotel is positioned high up with glorious views of the beach, lagoon and Mnemba Island.  Relax in Lala Spa at the end of the day and enjoy one of the holistic treatments using locally infused oils and herbs.  The Mnemba Atoll is one of the best places for diving in the Indian Ocean.  The atoll is now a marine conservation area allowing guests to enjoy some of the best underwater landscapes in the world.  Fishing trips on local sailing boats (Dhows) and octopus fishing can be arranged and a stroll or cycle ride on the beach is a must early evening.

Dining

The Sama Restaurant serves some of the best food on Zanzibar.  The team are great believers in using fresh local produce and spices and supporting local suppliers.  Delicious fish, straight from the Indian Ocean, and fragrant herbs and spices make mouthwatering combinations.  All dietary requirements can be catered for.  The jams and marmalades are all made locally and the herbs are all organic.  Snacks, cocktails and lunches can also be taken at the Water Front Bar by the infinity pool.
