On the southeast coast of the magical island of Zanzibar lies brand new Boutique Hotel Matlai. Here in Michamwi you will find paradise on earth. Accommodation
Boutique Hotel Matlai has been designed as an exclusive villa for people who appreciated a high level of comfort and privacy in a relaxed, tranquil setting. The first villa, Asili House, has 4 large, airy bedrooms, named and decorated after the four elements. All of the rooms have their own dressing room, bathroom and balcony or terrace and have stunning sea views. The rooms have king-size beds, fans and mosquito nets and TV and DVD players are available on request.
Guests are provided with a cell phone during their stay and there is an intercom system in the lounge to communicate with your personal butler when needed.
Activities
In front of Hotel Matlai there is a sand bar with sand as fine as icing sugar and an enviable snorkelling area which can be reached by foot at low tide. Bicycles are available for trips to the village, to Ras Michamwi or a little further to the next villages Bwejuu and Paje. There are plenty of wonderful things to see and do on Zanzibar including visiting Stone Town, the old part of Zanzibar, visiting the Jozani forest, home to the red Colobus Monkey. A spice tour is a must as is a trip in the hotels own Dhow.
Dining
Boutique Hotel Matlai has an excellent chef who creates wonderful dishes based on traditional Kiswahili cuisine featuring freshly caught seafood.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation penalty of 1 month’s notice at 100%, and 2 months at 50%. 25% non-refundable deposit to secure a booking, full payment strictly 30 days in advance of arrival.
