About this Chic Retreat
Hacienda Nature Reserve is home to two luxury wine estates with 2 private luxury villas each with 24 hour butler service. Situtated in the province of Zamora near the border with Portugal the two villas (The Winemarkers House and The Hunting Lodge) both have 5 bedrooms and are surrounded by vineyards, private gardens and their own swimming pool. Each of them are full of warmth, light and space and filled with some lovely artwork. A stay in one of these Chic Retreats is a luxury you can't afford to miss.
Accommodation
Winemakers House: In the traditional style of an authentic winemaker’s house, each of the large bedrooms is named after a type of grape grown in the Hacienda Zorita Natural Reserve vineyard. The rooms are all decorated in a country-chic style combining contemporary features with a rustic feel. All of them have large en-suite shower rooms. Outside in the gardens there is the swimming area and chill-out zone, with relaxation beds. The Hunting Lodge: This villa was built to recreate the feel of a traditional hunting lodge. Each of the 5 en-suite bedrooms is names after one of the important and in some cases almost extinct, birds in the park, including the black stork. Four of the rooms have balconies with views across the vineyard and the fifth room, with its own private access, has its own sitting room and balcony with a relaxation area. All of the rooms in The Hunting Lodge have en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower.
Activities
With its 24 Romanesque style churches from the 12th-century Zamora has been called a "museum of Romanesque art" - it is the city with the most Romanesque churches in Europe, so it is definitely worth a visit during your stay. Zorita Natural Reserve produces and bottles the Arribes del Duero D.O wines and a tour of the estate is highly recommended as well, of course, as some wine tasting! The dining room (La Bodega) in the tower of both villas has views over the winery and tasting rooms and the tower is also home to a billiards room in the Winemakers House. In each of the villas there is a collection of DVDs and books and a selection of adults’ and children’s board games. WiFi is complimentary throughout and each villa has the following:

The estate is the ideal habitat for some rare species of birds, making it perfect for bird watching. There are some great hiking and cycling paths too. Hot air ballooning can be arranged as can clay pigeon shooting, archery and massages. Included in your stay is:

Tasting for all the senses, led by Jaime Boville Gª de Vinuesa (Chairman of Slow Food – Duero Valley): estate wines, sheep’s milk cheese, extra virgin olive oil and Iberian acorn-fed ham.
Dining
At both of the villas guests can enjoy your own choice of estate wines and, by prior arrangement, delicious natural foods from the estate's organic farm and the new cuisine of the Duero Valley. Many different types of menus can be arranged including a great choice for children.
