About this Chic Retreat

Lagacio Mountain Residence is a luxury residence in the village of San Cassiano, nestled in the Alta Badia mountains in the UNESCO designated Italian Dolomites. The Canins family naturally fell in love with this wonderful mountain spot on first sight, and they endeavoured to create a contemporary, eco-friendly chic retreat which was as much about working with the environment as it was about second-to-none service and beautifully designed architecture & interiors. The result, an energy-efficient masterpiece, built from Swiss pine, fragrant larch & large energy-optimised glass windows with style & service that has enticed the most discerning of luxury travellers. The views are simply breathtaking, the organic breakfast, divine and the 24 apartments, spacious, stylish & wonderfully comfortable. The mountains offer year-round fun, from skiing, to rock climbing, mountain biking to hiking and after all that action, guests can return to the sauna in the La Palsa Spa. If all that isn't enough? Well, even your shopping is done for you, with a list of fabulous local products to choose from, brought right to your door. Enjoy boutique hotel-style luxury amid spectacular mountain scenery.

Accommodation

There are 24 apartments at Lagacio Mountain Residence, varying in size, but all spacious with a fresh mountain style using Swiss pine, larch or spruce depending on which of the 3 floors you are located on. Interiors blend contemporary design with traditional Ladin features, while natural materials and a soft palette of woods, white linens and warm browns add to the sense of deep tranquility. The floor-to-ceiling windows open out to wonderful vistas and some of the apartments have romantic open fireplaces. All have fully-equipped kitchens, flat screen TVs, WiFi, walk-in closets, drinking fountains and modern en-suite bathrooms with showers & bathtubs, luxury bath products, towels, bathrobes & slippers. Some of the rooms also have Nespresso coffee machines and all have private east-facing balconies. Take a romantic break in one of the 2-person apartments, or for friends and families, the Ammonite apartments can accommodate up to 5 guests. This spacious suite has the luxurious addition of an infrared sauna in the second bathroom.

Activities

Travelling to Lagacio Mountain Residence in summer? You will be spoilt for choice in a region great for hiking & walking paths, mountaineering & rock-climbing in the majestic & unique Dolomites. Discover the local flora & fauna in the nature reserves, head out for a day of golf at the Corvara 9-hole course or play a round of tennis in the nearby courts. If you're a keen cyclist, head out on a mountain bike to explore the mountain passes or take a cycle tour. After all that action, return to the La Palsa wellness area with its Finnish & low-temperature saunas & steam room and finish your day with a relaxing beauty treatment or massage using Dr. Hauscka, Niance & Thalgo's range of sumptuous natural products.

In winter, Alta Badia offers one of the world's largest winter-sport locations where you can enjoy skiing (with a variety of schools & tours on offer), cross-country skiing and tobogganing and for the super-fit, why not try theDolomiti Superski - the world's largest ski carousel where you can enjoy 1200 km of slope on just one pass! There are also some great events to look out for including the Ski World Cup Alta Badia and the incredible Snow-sculpture festival at San Vigilio di Marebbe, while in December, there are a whole host of festive Christmas Markets.

Dining

Only the finest of organic, natural ingredients will do for Lagacio Mountain Residence and your shopping crate is filled with such goodies, with delicious rye-flour bread and whatever locally-sourced fresh produce you fancy from their extensive shopping menu. You can even order everything before you arrive if you like to plan ahead. There is a communal breakfast room for those who can drag themselves away from their luxurious apartment. If you want breakfast put together for you, order the Lagacio continental breakfast with fresh baked goods, muesli, jams, fruit, fresh juices and a variety of local treats. In the evening, enjoy a drink with new friends in the bar by the open fireplace.

Rates

Rates at Lagacio Mountain Residence are per apartment per night and include breakfast, daily clean & towel change, bed linen change 2 times a week, final cleaning and use of Lagacio wellness area & fitness centre. Optional continental breakfast in room is available as well as a Lagacio shopping crate and baby / child-minding service. Rates for additional beds for children up to 3 years old including breakfast are EUR 15 per night and for over 3 year olds, EUR 50 per night.

  • 2 night deposit needed to confirm any booking
  • In case of cancellation up to 22 days before arrival no penality will be charged.
  • In case of cancellation after 21 days and up 7 days before arrival, deposit is lost.
