About this Chic Retreat
Sarah Townsend, owner of the Buxhall Coach House is opening the Coach House as a boutique restaurant this spring with daughter Honor Townsend as the chef, where she will be offering her renowned Italian specialities for lunch and dinner. There will also be the possibility of booking private parties with Honor's expertise, as well as special events. The Coach House is also home to the gorgeous Garden Room, which has views across the parkland and a very large en-suite bathroom, for those who want to relax in the Suffolk countryside. Complimentary WiFi is available for use during your stay and there is also a Flat Screen Television with SKY. This charming chic retreat has been featured in the Financial Times How to Spend it and Travel & Leisure Magazine.
Accommodation
Soft greys and lavenders add to the romantic feel of the bedroom which features a super king-size bed complemented by stunning bedlinen from Josephine Home. The enormous en-suite Travertine bathroom boasts a large walk-in shower, dressing area with cupboards, 2 basins and separate bathroom with loo, bidet, basin, heated towel rails & large bath, perfect for two!
Activities
Just 20 minutes from historic Lavenham and 30 minutes from Newmarket, the Buxhall Coach House is the perfect base from which to enjoy the Suffolk countryside & villages. Picnics can be arranged by the river in the Summer months and within the grounds there is a natural wildlife sanctuary filled with many rare species. Stowmarket golf course is 5 minutes walk and there is also a new driving range. Italian cooking and bread-making courses can be arranged throughout the year.

Sarah's talented daughter Honor, who was the award-winning Chef at Palazzo Terranova, is chef at Buxhall Coach House. This gourmet Chic Retreat and boutique restaurant sits a maximum of 24 people in a very private, charming setting. Generosity of spirit is evident in Honor's authentic Italian dishes, overflowing with colours and flavours. For guests wanting to stay the night wine lists, including Champagne are available on booking enabling you to arrange the perfect romantic retreat! Local, seasonal and organic ingredients are used wherever possible and in addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner you can also expect home-made breads, sauces, jellies and jams, Illy Cafe and delicious afternoon teas.
'A dinner of the tenderest asparagus followed by rack of lamb with a crisp pesto crust, convinced us that either an Italian grandmother or Giorgio Locatelli himself presided in the kitchen; but it turned out to be Sarah's daughter, Honor. Every mouthful she prepared-from freshly baked bread with herbs and roasted garlic before dinner to black-currant jam at breakfast was fabulous.'Pamela Goodman, House and Garden.
Rates
Rates at Buxhall Coach House are per night for two people. To maintain the privacy of the guests, turn down service is not provided at night. Between 11-12am each day the Coach House is serviced.

50% deposit required to confirm reservation. Deposit is non-refundable within 30 days of arrival date.
