At Montpelier Plantation and Beach, guests have the perfect balance of activity and relaxation. Whether it is walking through the hotel's tropical gardens, relaxing in a hammock by the fresh water pool, playing a game of tennis or simply having a massage to unwind, you will be transported to a place of peace and tranquillity.  Montpelier Plantation’s secluded private beach is dotted with gazebos, lounge chairs and a pavilion for barbecue lunches.  Regular transportation to the beach is provided by the hotel.  Guests can also take advantage of the 60-foot mosaic-tiled freshwater swimming pool, play room and library.

Nevis is particularly special for hiking in the rainforest and exploring ruins from the plantation days gone by. Take a hike in the morning and then enjoy the afternoon relaxing at the beach while enjoying a fresh lunch and rum punches. Other activities include deep sea fishing, sailing, kayaking, scuba diving, horseback riding, waterskiing, windsurfing, nature walks, mountain treks, boat trips, tennis lessons and day trips to St. Barts or St. Kitts can be easily arranged for an additional charge. Yoga classes are available upon request.


A customised program called Children in Action guarantees a fun experience for guests aged 6 to 12. The Play Room provides a large selection of books, board games and colorful crafts. Family movies and cartoons are also available. Montpelier is a safe playground to observe the monkeys and wild donkeys and explore hidden plantation ruins. In addition, a healthy children’s menu is proposed at both restaurants, Indigo and Restaurant 750.


Indigo: Indigo embodies easygoing island dining. A sensational combination of high end services, sophisticated style and lounge styles. It is a stylish area, for lunch or a casual dinner with fine wines, rare rums, cigars and cocktails.

Restaurant 750: For unobtrusive, al fresco dining, Montpelier Plantation’s AAA Four Diamond restaurant, offer light and modern cuisine, perfected through the use of local ingredients, herbs and spices. It is complete with fabulous views overlooking the lights of Charlestown and St. Kitts.

Mill Privée: For a memorable, once in a lifetime experience, guests can choose to dine in the hotel’s 300 year-old sugar mill, Mill Privée, converted into the only restaurant of its kind in the world. The original sugar mill is completely intact and the well-trodden floor and hand-cut round stonewall is wonderfully atmospheric. The Mill Privée also hosts tasting dinners with wine pairing carefully chosen by the hotel’s sommelier.

The Great Room: In the main house, The Great Room provides the perfect setting for evening cocktails &  canapés.

Montpelier Beach Bar: Guests enjoy exclusive access to the hotel’s private beach, located just a short drive in the hotel’s shuttle -  a tranquil place to soak up the destination’s natural setting. A full bar and private cabanas are available, serving daytime refreshment and cocktails.

Pool Bar: Guests can dine poolside at Indigo, which offers a selection of delicious salads, sandwiches, fresh fruits, and refreshing drinks during the day. After 5pm, Indigo transforms  into a lounge bar featuring sharing platters, molecular cocktails, fine wine and champagne. Open 9am-11pm.
