URBN Hotels is also recognised as China's 1st carbon neutral boutique hotel. The total amount of energy this hotel consumes, including staff commutes, food and beverage delivery, and the energy used by each guest, will be tracked to calculate the carbon footprint. URBN will then purchase credits to neutralize its footprint by investing in green energy development in China. Guests staying at this chic retreat can also choose to purchase carbon credits from the program to offset their flights.

Accommodation

URBN features 26 guest rooms, including 2 penthouse suites with 120 sqm roof-top terrace gardens, and 1 suite with courtyard and private spa and treatment room all are located in a renovated factory warehouse and were inspired by the nature of Asian spaces. Rich in touch and texture and minimal in nature; the contemporary design of URBN Hotels Shanghai has been enhanced by the use of wood floors, linen curtains and warm colours of cream, toffee, and beige.

Each room offers the creature comforts guests expect when staying at a luxury boutique hotel and they also include some special luxuries: sunken sitting area with wrap-around sofa, platform king size bed, customised mini bar, complimentary WIFI, free standing bath tub and in-room fitness kits.

Activities

URBNs private guest and members lounge located on the top floor allows guests the privacy of their own lounge during the day and a place to enjoy a drink as the sun goes down over Shanghai with WIFI and projection and screens available - it can become your office away from the office or a place to relax after a big day of sightseeing. In-room Asian massages including foot reflexology, herbal baths, Chinese Mandarin lessons, Chinese cooking, calligraphy & painting classes, unique walking tour and bike rental, business and leisure assistants - are amongst the extra services available to guests upon request to get you involved in the local culture. Guest also have the use of nearby boutique gym and wellness centre - so your fitness routine is not forgotten
