About this Chic Retreat
Alcoba del Rey is a chic city hotel built with the materials that were used in Seville over eight centuries ago and arranged in the traditional Andalucian style; the central patio of Alcoba del Rey is surrounded by the reception area, breakfast room and café as well as the 15 bedrooms. This small chic hotel is the perfect mid-week or weekend escape.
Accommodation
The 15 rooms all have king-size canopied beds and hand carved headboards and all have lovely traditionally carved plasterwork and old wooden ceilings. The furniture is made from cedar which has a wonderfully fragrant aroma and the handmade marble basins have been brought over from India. The rooms all have anAndalucian/Moorish feel to them creating a really authentic stay in Seville. The names of the rooms are taken from significant and well known figures from Al-Andalus, all of whom were born and lived in Seville.
Activities
Seville and the surrounding area is full of plenty of things to see and do. Seville Cathedral is magnificent and has recently undergone restoration. Therapeutic and relaxing massages can be arranged for guests in their rooms and the concierge is 24 hours.
Dining
Tapas and drinks are served at Alcoba del Rey and there are may wonderful bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. There is room service at the hotel 24 hours per day.
Rates
Rates are per room per night, with breakfast included. There is an additional 7% tax charge. Extra beds are charged at between EUR 36 and EUR 45 per night. During Holy week in March a minimum 4 night stay is required. Easter and Feria rates are EUR 214 for Standard Rooms, EUR 245 for Superior Rooms and EUR 271 for Junior Suites and a minimum stay of 3 nights applies during this time.
