The tropical design decoration throughout this chic retreat was inspired by the African and Indian roots of the North and East of Brazil and from the original era of coffee, sugarcane & cocoa plantations. All of the spacious rooms & suites feature pieces of furniture and art created by Brazilian designers, not forgetting the essentials such as LCD TVs and WIFI. The Superior rooms feature furniture designed by Rocklane and Carassas with tropical Ype wood floors. The Deluxe rooms have either a king-size bed or twin beds - some have enormous verandahs. Chairs by designer Sergio Rodriguez are a feature of this room and the bathroom has a large polished concrete bath. The Junior Suites have stunning views across the mountains and have a living room, king-size bed and showcase some of the best design pieces from RockLane, Sergio Rodriguez, Carassas, Zemodg e Oficinia de Agosto. The Master Suite is along the same lines as the Junior Suite, but bigger. The Presidential Suite is an experience in itself; with views over Rio de Janeiro bay and the Santa Teresa hills, this enormous suite also features a stunning bathroom made from stone and tropical woods with a Studio Vitty bathtub.
