About this Chic Retreat
Domaine Les Roullets can be found at the foothills of the Luberon in the heart of Provence, which boasts more sunshine than any other area in France. This area remains unspoilt and almost untouched by modern construction as it is a National Park and as such houses are mostly built from local sandstone. Three years of sympathetic restoration has brought Domaine Les Roullets back to its former glory and the talented, multilingual, Dutch owners (who speak English, French, German, Italian and Spanish) have created a luxurious and stylish Chic Retreat.
Accommodation
All of the 6 air-conditioned rooms at Domaine Les Roullets are on the ground floor and they all benefit from their own private entrance, sitting area and terrace giving guests a very private stay. Luxurious and stylish, the rooms have spring beds, satellite TV (with international channels) and iPods with a great selection of music.
Activities
Menerbe is just 2 miles down the road and the pretty villages of the Luberon valley are at your doorstep. The grounds of Domaine Les Roullets are worth exploring and are of historical interest with an ancient oak tree, medieval washing place and even an underground Roman irrigation system. Wine lovers of course will enjoy visiting the vineyard which produces a delicious organic wine and there are some wooded areas which children will love exploring. A heated swimming pool and large terraces with comfy sun loungers will help you relax in the sunshine. Guests also have exclusive access to a pretty tree-lined, walled courtyard with views of the deserted village Oppède-le-Vieux.
Dining
Blessed with a delicious array of local products all year round, Provence is a food lovers paradise! Farmers and daily markets galore, guests will love the variety that the different seasons have to offer. The Orangerie houses a fridge filled with soft drinks as well as a Nespresso machine, iPod docking station and WiFi. The cellars contain a wonderful selection of wines to choose from.
