L'HOTEL - Paris, France

About this Chic Retreat

L'Hôtel owes its unique appeal to its ideal location in the 6th arrondissement; the Boulevard St Germain, River Seine, Louvre, and Notre Dame are only moments away. L'Hôtel is the best boutique hotel in Paris for those looking for romance. L'Hôtel has been a secret hideaway for illustrious guests over the years including Oscar Wilde, Ava Gardner, Salvador Dali, Jim Morrison, Al Pacino, Robert de Niro, Mick Jagger, Quentin Tarantino, Johnny Depp, Sean Penn, Dita Von Teese and many more local and international visitors who value the intimate privacy and discretion of L'Hôtel.

Accommodation

Lavish and comfortable, the 20 bedrooms at L'Hôtel are all stunning. Built around a famous six floor oval atrium, the bedrooms range in size from Mignon, Bijou, Chic to Grand and finally the Apartment. Designed by Jacques Garcia, each bedroom guarantees a unique L'Hôtel experience. The most famous room, 16, is that of Oscar Wilde's, who lived here till his death in 1900. A framed copy of the final bill Wilde failed to pay, as he was "dying beyond his means" hangs on the wall as a reminder of the room's remarkable history. Some of the bedrooms have terraces overlooking Paris' rooftops and the spire of St. Germain-des-Près, whilst all have large French windows and marble bathrooms boasting old-style bathtubs with alluring goodies from C-Side.

Activities

Hidden under the stone vaulted ceilings of the cellars, guests can find a glorious secret cavern, with a private pool and hammam, where they can reserve ahead to swim alone and undisturbed, and treatments can be arranged by appointment.

Dining

L'Hôtel is also home to the Michelin-starred Le Restaurant and head chef Philippe Bélissent - previously sous-chef at the Michelin 3-starred Ledoyen. One of Paris' rising stars, Bélissent has received lavish praise from the local diners and French press. Le Restaurant offers a seasonal menu of classical French cuisine with a distinct, light modern touch, whilst its six-course Dégustation Surprise menu inspired by Bélissent is the talk of the town. The sultry, velvet bar is perfect for a drink before or after dinner.
