About this Chic Retreat

Maison de Plumes is a guest house in the style of a boutique hotel in an unspoilt area of rural France. The area surrounding this small boutique b & b is steeped in history and the Seven Valleys is a charming area with a great choice of cosy restaurants serving delicious home made French food at its best and vibrant markets. During the cooler months guests can enjoy the outdoor lounge with its log fire.

Accommodation

The 5 en-suite rooms at Maison de Plumes are aptly named after birds; Ostrich, Flamingo, Parrokeet and Peacock with the addition of the new Swan Suite. Ostrich has a chocolate flavour with browns & silvers and old & new. Flamingo as the name suggests, wouldn't be complete without the colour pink! The bedroom wall features flamingos and the bathroom is a wonderfully vibrant shade of..?! Parokeet is a sumptuous room decorated in green & black. Ornate rococo furniture, slipper bath & walk through shower give this new room a luxurious feel. The stunning new Swan Suite is 40sqm and has a wall mounted TV in the sitting area, coloured light therapy above the bath, separate shower room and its own private garden & entrance.

Activities

For guests looking for a little romance there is a hot tub on the terrace, making it a terrace for all seasons! There are 2 Championship golf courses within 40 minutes from the house and fishing and cycling are both available. Paris is only 1.5 hours away for those desperate for a shopping fix and there are also 2 charming market towns (Hesden and St Pol sur Ternoise) just 20 minutes away.

Dining

The terrace at Maison de Plumes has south-facing views of the Val de Ternoise. It is the perfect place to enjoy a lazy breakfast or lunch and a romantic candelit dinner for two followed by a dip in the hot tub..The food here is excellent and ridiculously cheap (why eat anywhere else?) - all the produce is home grown where possible and they keep their own French hens. Breakfast (at your leisure), lunch and dinner are all served, along with some fine French wines.

Rates at Maison de Plumes are per room per night and include breakfast and taxes. Lunch EUR 8 (inc 1 glass of wine). Dinner EUR 35 (inc 1/4 Bottle of wine). 24 hours notice needed for dinner.
