Originally developed as a private chic retreat by Richard Branson, this 74 acre private paradise that is Necker Island has become one of the most exclusive and luxurious holiday spots in the world. Favored by celebrities, Necker Island now rents to individual couples during Celebration Weeks, offering the highest standards of service and comfort. At the Northeastern rim of the British Virgin Islands, this ultimate island retreat has only one residence, Sir Richard Branson’s private residence, Temple House, 6 separate Balinese houses, and Necker Belle a 32-metre (105ft), and 14 metres wide luxurious catamaran. Necker Belle is one of the largest all-carbon multi hull yachts of its kind and can reach speeds of over 20 knots. Typically the Island is available for exclusive hire, where guests can celebrate in style and dictate the pace and mood of their escape. However during Celebration Weeks couples and families can book individual rooms, and stay for 7 nights.

Accommodation

Amongst the tropical flora and fauna, the 6 beautiful Balinese Houses provide guests with stunning ocean views and privacy. Accommodation is also provided at Temple House in the middle of the island and when required aboard the luxury catamaran Necker Belle in one of four cabins. Necker Island accommodates 22-28 people, with Temple House, Sir Richard Branson’s private home, supplemented by 6 authentic one-bedroom Balinese houses of breathtaking design dotted around the island. The Bali Cottages are within easy reach of Temple House but offer a little more privacy for those who would like to escape from time to time. They each have an open-air sitting and dining area, which can be used for lunches during your stay or late night parties.

Cabins on Necker Belle - Necker Belle is a 32-metre (105ft) luxury catamaran and while Necker Island’s The Great House is being rebuilt she will be docked at the island. Necker Belle’s four main cabins with large windows are situated on the main deck above the water line.

Activities

Enjoy the supreme comforts of a 60 person professional staff, superb chef, freshwater pools, Jacuzzis, and breathtaking views that encompass the green of the Atlantic, the coral reef and Virgin Gorda beyond. Necker Island offers 2 private beaches, state of the art watersports equipment including parasailing, water skiing and kite surfing plus two flood-lit tennis courts and a professional coach. Take time to unwind and rejuvenate in Bali Leha, Necker Island's spa enjoying treatments from Hot Stone massages to facials designed specifically to your skins need.

Dining

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are informal affairs, laid out either in the dining room, around the pool or on the beach. The style of cuisine takes advantage of as many locally produced fruit and vegetables as possible and fresh fish is always a favourite. Guests can choose to let us make all the arrangements or can have menus designed especially for them. Beach barbecues are always a favourite, whilst the sushi bar in the Infinity pool is a once in a lifetime experience.

Celebration weeks - Normally Necker Island is hired privately by an individual or group, but during the Celebration Weeks, held on selected weeks throughout the year, couples or singles can book individual rooms and share the island with others. Rates stated are 'from' rates, quoted per couple per week, fully inclusive on request.

Please note that a 2.5% service charge is added to the accommodation rates. A supplement and minimum stay may apply to Island rentals during Christmas, New Year and Easter periods. These rates are a guide only and may be subject to change, dependant on the season. Exact costings will be determined at the time of booking. Cancellation policy

Reservations must be secured by a 20% deposit. A further payment of 40% is required 6 months before arrival. The remaining 42.5%, including a 2.5% service charge, is required 3 months before arrival. All deposits are non refundable.

Nearest Airport: Tortola.
Distance from Airport: 15 minutes by boat.
Additional Info: The nearest airport is Beef Island/Tortola (30 minutes) or Virgin Gorda (15 minutes) by Necker Island's speed boat.
Credit Cards: Cash, travellers cheques, personal cheques drawn on US Dollars and credit cards are acceptable means of settling accounts prior to departure.
