About this Chic Retreat

Domaine de Verchant sits at the heart of 17 hectares of vineyards & parkland. The style of this contemporary boutique hotel is due to the involvement of some of the most famous Italian designers of today; Poltrona, Moroso, Nanimarquina, Alessi and Casa Milano. With such great designers involved the result is high-end, high-tech, but with a spirit and warmth that is often lacking in contemporary surroundings. The charming Manager Xavier Debaisieux has worked in some of the best luxury hotels in the world and so is able to foresee what even the most demanding and critical guest expects. We were really taken by surprise during our stay at Domaine de Verchant, by the level of service, the outstanding spa & treatments and simply delicious food. Just 10 minutes from the airport this is the perfect weekend escape for all ages and Domaine de Verchant was recently awarded 5 stars.

Accommodation

Domaine de Verchant has 19 luxury rooms and 3 apartments which have a subtle blend of contemporary and modern style with the charm &character of soft stones, wood and natural materials. The 3 deluxe terrace rooms are on the third floor of the Chateau with stunning views of the park and vineyards. The sharp design of the 9 deluxe rooms is the result of the involvement of some of the best design houses in the world ensuring the best high-tech materials and features. These rooms are scattered throughout Domaine de Verchant and also benefit from the romantic park views. If budget permits book a junior suite; both romantic and extremely modern the 7 junior suites have their own terrace with views and each bathroom features the 'Big Rain' system.

Our favourite is Neige d'Avril (April Snow) which is the most romantic room in the hotel and features an enormous round bed and hydromassage bath. The lights, curtains, plasma TV are all remote controlled allowing you to stay in bed all day long! The 3 apartments are where families can really feel at home and have their own independence. They are large (75sqm) & spacious and feature a fully-equipped kitchen with washing machine, childrens room & terrace with vineyard views.

Activities

Verchant le spa nestles at the heart of the estate's vineyard. Anne Semonin and Valmont products (used by Brad Pitt) are used to sooth the body and lift the spirits. A tailor-made spa menu has been created exclusively for Domaine de Verchant. Within the spa there is a juice and tea bar alongside the natural products. Try the signature Verchant treatment, one of the best treatments we have ever had in any spa. Wine production is an important part of the Chateau's history, concentrating on Syrah and Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet France with 10% of the wine produced being white. The wines are readily available on the wine list and wine tastings are very much encouraged.

Dining

Breakfast is served wherever you like and is a gourmand's delight. Lunch is created by chefs Jacques et Laurent Pourcel and is available Tuesday through to Sunday. Dinner on the terrace is wonderfully romantic and can be accompanied by a wine from the estate - we can particularly recommend the white, dry and crisp it is very refreshing and slips down very easily!

Rates

Rates are per room per night. Free Baby cot. Extra child bed is EUR 18. Breakfast is EUR 25 per person. A credit card number will be required to hold the reservation and 15 days prior to arrival reservations will contact the guest and charge 50% of total to the card as a non-refundable deposit.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation or booking amedment must be sent by fax or in writing. More than 15 days prior to arrival, no cancellation fee will be charged. Between 15 and 4 days prior to arrival, 50% of the total amount wil lbe charged. Less than 72 hours prior to arrival or no show, total amount of the stay will be charged.
